It’s one word that sends shivers down one’s back
One word that makes one fear tomorrow
One word that makes you appreciate life
It’s one word that doesn’t guarantee a tomorrow.
Why is it feared?
Why does it make you feel scared?
Why do some people embrace it?
But most of all, why do others long for it and await it?
People tell you not to worry,
They tell you that you have years to spare.
But what will you do when the day comes?
Will you run because you are scared?
It’s a word that makes or breaks someone,
One that doesn’t guarantee a future.
It’s a word that kills you,
Before it actually happens to you.
It is a cycle that has not yet been broken,
One that has been going on for years.
It’s a word that’s hidden in all of us.
That one word is Death.
